Biography Time at Company: 2 years Scott is a former Junior National Kart Champion as well as competitively racing Formula E, Formula Ford and Formula 3 for many years. Unfortunately a serious back injury cut his burgeoning race career short, but he continues to fuel his passion by passing his knowledge to others - Scott is our Chief Instructor and takes his private tuition sessions very seriously. Biography Simon joined the Lakeside team while studying at college and enjoyed the role so much went full-time on completion of his course. Another keen karter, Simon particularly enjoys passing his skills onto younger drivers, ensuring they get the best instruction possible. Biography When Denis joined the team here at Lakeside Karting he came well prepared; he had already worked for 2 1/2 years at F1 City Racing, Docklands, along with Steve. This meant he slipped straight in to the team as a Senior Marshal and helped raise standards throughout the circuit team. Denis was promoted to an Assistant Race Director within a year and due to his continued dedication and commitment has recently been promoted to Race Director Status. Denis helps run the Cadet Academy at our sister company, Brentwood Karting and is a strong favourite with all the kids, and maybe more importantly, all the parents! Biography Graham has a long and distinguished career in Motorsport and any Rallycross fans old enough will probably have watched him slip and slide his way to victory on many occasion - back in the Seventies and Eighties he was regularly on TV competing in championships all over Europe. After retiring from racing Graham spent 7 years as Senior Instructor and Safety Briefer at the famous Brands Hatch Rally School where he honed his skills as 'the host with the most'. In his spare time Graham keeps his competitive streak alive as a keen cyclist, not only does he spend a few hours each week in the saddle himself, he also manages and trains various amateur youth cycle teams. With an abundance of experience and personality you can be assured that your event will be run professionally, safely and not without a touch of humour. Biography Time at Company: 1 year 8 months Chelsey completed her work experience at Lakeside Karting and fitted in so well we offered her a permanent position within our weekend team.
